It’s Friday, and another school week is in the books. Time to reflect on the week that was, and recharge for the next challenge.
Today, the student’s sat through a presentation by Together For Humanity, a multi-faith not for-profit organisation. This was such a worthwhile experience: the student’s heard from a Muslim, a Jew, and a Christian about their faith and how to respond to cultural differences in our society. It was also valuable for the teachers, as it will allow me to integrate this within my teaching strategies, particularly Geography (see earlier post about using the refugee experience to teach empathy).
